Our trip to China

We are here!

Today is Sunday. We got to the hotel about 10pm last night. Fortunately we were able to make all of our connections and our luggage made it here safely. I haven't added up all the miles but I think that with our unplanned stop in Japan we fly over 7,500 miles yesterday and spent about 18 hours of flying time in the airplane. That is definitely a record for me and not one that I am axious to top any time soon! We only got to see the lights from the window of the plane and a tiny bit of the airport in Japan - but it was interesting just being there. We flew over North Korea in route to Beijing and it was strange looking down at the clouds and thinking about how we were looking at a place that usually seems so far away and that we read about in the news.
The airport in Beijing was very clean and new - not very crowded. Our Helping Hand guide met us about 15 min after we arrived. We have to go eat breakfast - will post more later.

Sooooo many thoughts...so much to say. Let us start by sharing our excitement with you as you're becoming a family of seven! It is great to see how God is moving in your family's lives. We will definitely be checking in regularly ! When we received the information that told us the date that you were leaving, our five year old Levi was really intigued about you being a forever family for Chloe. It was very sweet and he wanted to pray right away. You are all in our prayers.
    Love, Eric and Danielle
